ProEdge Precision is a high-quality advanced manufacturing operation for leading industry sectors in the Centralina region - aerospace,medical,and energy. Although small in size,the company is highly innovative,machining custom parts for these industries,which helps their clients succeed and contributes to the overall health of our local and state economy. ProEdge Precision is a part of the supply chain cluster for these industries in the region – a cluster that supports job growth and economic development by providing needed services for new companies coming into the region. ProEdge Precision also works closely with Mitchell Community College"s Advanced Manufacturing program to make sure the curriculum matches industry needs."

When ProEdge Precision needed skilled talent quickly to support its operations,the company reached out to the Centralina WDB for assistance. The Business Services Team evaluated the company"s needs and put a plan of action in place. The WDB-sponsored NCWorks Career Center-Statesville utilized On-the-Job training (OJT) services to help train new hires; it also screened and referred other qualified talent to the company,and assisted in rewriting job descriptions to increase recruiting success.

In the last year,ProEdge Precision,LLC,employed three workers using Centralina WDB-funded OJT resources. The company is also using an Incumbent Worker Training Grant offered by the Centralina Workforce Development Board to up-skill their current employees."

ProEdge Precision has demonstrated a commitment to workforce development through their involvement in local and regional workforce agencies such as the NCWorks Career Center in Statesville and on the Centralina WDB’s Skills Gap Focus Team. The President of the company serves on the Centralina Workforce Development Board and has provided input from the perspective of an Advanced Manufacturer to determine the direction of regional initiatives to improve the workforce. The company president has also been actively involved with the Centralina Pathways to Prosperity Career Pathways project focusing on Advanced Manufacturing in Iredell,Cabarrus,and Rowan counties.
